This is consistent with the research findings in my book "Lead From the Future". The 5-10 year horizon brings as much to see opportunities as much as threats and is the north star; need even now
I'm looking for recommendations on inspirational content for women leaders. I follow TEDWomen, many podcasts, and the women's conference among other sources. Please add any speakers, books, or events that you may have come across!
I work at a preschool that redirects disruptive students by giving them a book to calm down and regroup. Do you think this is a good practice or does it ultimately lead the student to see reading as punishment?
I’ve hit an absolute brick wall when it comes to finding for a new job. I’ve had almost a dozen interviews that lead nowhere and been ghosted by a ton of recruiters. Would anyone be available to look over my book and give me some advice? 🙏
Just wanted to share fantastic leadership book my executive coach just released. It’s great! Clear, concise and an easy read. And no I don’t anything for recommending it, it’s genuine! Latest episode posted! “Generals in the Making” is a gem of a leadership book and should be required reading for any early or mid-level professional. The book is an engrossing examination of how four army generals of World War II, each a major player in their own right, navigated the uncertain and tumultuous pre-war years in their careers. sphttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/black-market-leadership/id1523238553?i=1000533915181
Evangelicals did sell their soul to the false prophet, didn’t they? From Cohen’s book: Trump held a meeting at Trump Tower with prominent evangelical leaders, where they laid their hands on him in prayer. Afterward, Trump said: “Can you believe that bulls--t? Can you believe people believe that bulls--t?”. The cosmic joke was that Trump convinced a vast swathe of working-class white folks in the Midwest that he cared about their well-being, Cohen writes
I’m gearing up for my first hire/direct report. Which management/leadership books would folks recommend reading for inspiration, food for thought?
Team- need advice. I've been trying to break into strategy for 2 years. I'm at the junior level, but I already managed to bring a new client to my agency, build their brand book and helped lead focus groups. It's like I'm a junior planner without the title. How can I finally break in?

Any recommendations on books on Leadership?
I believe improving one’s sales conversion rate is something everyone want to improve but no one wants to admit they would like to work it. Funny how lawyers will spend thousands on seminars to improve trial skills. But this topic is not discussed in our profession. I have read books in sales. But am unable to find any for lawyers. I want convert every lead I can. Does anyone have tips, books, cle’s or studied this topic?
Best books on leadership and sales skills?
Recommend good books on project mgmt!
There are far too much books on leadership (how to inspire and develop people), but not so much on how to manage projects (timeline, stakeholders, risks, etc.)
I am studying for MBA and need 3 books. They are very expensive to buy, so I am wondering if any of you have access to a soft copy that you can share.
> Management Research: Applying the Principles by Susan Rose, Nigel Spinks
> Research Methods for Business and Management by Kevin O'Gorman, Robert MacIntosh
> Theory and Practice of Leadership by Roger Gill
Have some downtime. Would anyone read a book on how to lead successful tech strategy assessments? (Willing to pay for it? $9.99?)
I was just laid off. I feel lost, feeling both pumped up for the future but pained because I was a high performing, straight laced, and by the book team member. Looking for Muslim leaders who are recruiting. Extensive experience in strategy and implementation of Data and RPA technologies. PMP and RPA developer certified. SQL, R, Python, UiPath, Agile, waterfall.
Any self help books for women who don’t have good relationships (and possibly are depressed and jaded)? Maybe something for courage to lead a life without depending on others

Hi friends, I lead brand and advertising at Bankrate, a financial services education site. We’re building an in-house agency (25+ people already) to develop our campaigns, YouTube series, and more. Hiring a bunch of positions but hot on a copywriter with agency experience (mid+, title flexible, salary competitive based on experience/location, remote/Charlotte/NYC/Detroit). Here’s the listing, DM me with Qs, I’m an open book. I’ve been here for a year after 15 in agencies and love it.
Fell in love with this Sky-Dweller today at the AD. Never thought the gold and black rubber strap would do it for me. Is it normal an AD has this one in inventory? Thought Sky-Dwellers we're in very high demand. Anyway went there to put my name on the list for a sub no-date so didn't get the Sky-Dweller. But it's high on my future milestone celebration watches list.
Looking to sublet my place from May 1st-Nov 30 (earlier move-in possible) at which point you could renew the lease with the management co. - 1.5 BR in FIDI/battery park with gorgeous views of the Hudson River and Statue of Liberty (33rd floor). Luxury building with gym and roof deck with similar, amazing views. $4K negotiable. DM or reply to this post if interested in photos or in learning more!

Need to get a colposcopy (cervix biopsy) and I am absolutely freaking out😬I know a few people who have said it was exceptionally painful. I am already sensitive down there-reason for the procedure in the first place-and my doctor told me there is no type of numbing treatment so I’m freaking out a little. Any tips to ease the pain/prepare?

I have practiced law for several years and still struggle with the feast-or-famine nature of my practice. (Sudden rush of client outreach, many emergencies, then … nothing). A famine week might be 3-4 billable hours/day. My practice area does not have a predictable annual cycle, like “year end” or “tax day.” Any tips from other attorneys for how to recognize, predict, and/or even out these periods?
Hi fishes, I am currently highly underpaid and already received an offer of 15 lpa but was looking for 20+ from Capgemini life sciences consulting. How can certain Big 4 companies pay less than the other Big 4 companies? Wouldn't there just be a mass exodus to the higher paying Big 4 companies for the same work?
Hello everyone! I’m currently studying Business Law at uni (final months). My dreams job is to be an AML officer, but I don’t know how to get into this. I was thinking about getting a CAMS certificate, what else do you think I should do to get hired? Thank you in advance 🙏
I had 2 technical interviews with SAP labs, but after the interview I am not able to contact HR and he is not picking my calls or email. I actually performed really well in the interview, can I know how long does they take to provide an update on my candidature?
Is there any agency that lets you do a balance of both Pharma and general Consumer work? For example, is there anywhere I could work on both Coca-Cola and Flonase?
Is it weekend yet? 🥱
Advice on managing up / enduring toxic deal teams? I’m at the point where my stomach drops any time I see something come in from certain people. Everything is behind, client is unhappy, I’m exhausted and simultaneously being micromanaged without guidance on big-picture/substantive issues. I keep trying to tell myself at least this is consulting and the project will be over... eventually...

our company is expanding domestically in about 15 states in the US as well as internationally in EMEA and APAC. our biggest struggles right now are with all the different employment laws/compliance items + comp & benefits + what differs locally vs aligns globally. we are working with a PEO but still need support and expertise internally. what's the best way to structure the HR team in order to support this type of growth & expansion, especially in a short amount of time?

Is PwC Workforce transformation/OCM hiring? Looking for referral for a Manager role - thanks in advance!
I just make a career transition from recruiting to Org Development at a consulting firm 6 months ago. I’m really struggling to learn the things I want to learn since I’m alone on projects and they aren’t change management based- more just building training materials (which is what I got my masters in). Is it worth to switch to an internal role even though I don’t have hands-on change management experience? All of the roles want change management. All advice and insight is welcome!
Anyone have insight on whether Google’s re:Work group/blog is still a thing? Looks like the blog hasn’t been updated since 2018.

CPTD but no degree (long story, about 15 cr shy). Would you suggest addl cert (CCMP, SHRM-C)? Will the lack of degree a no-go or is there a way in while I finish? A Sr director role is being dangled. Would the title bump help with the transition or do I risk missing a hot market?

HR Manager here! I think focusing on HR Generalist and Management skills/books would be useful. I read a lot of them back in grad school and they still resonate with me today. Also, you should study for and take the PHR. That’ll get you a lot of information and a leg up when applying for roles.
