I'm a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a growing passion for product management. Over the past year, I’ve been diving deep into understanding the product management field, driven by my interest in building and improving products that solve real-world problems.

Looking for advice! I was approved to work remotely but my salary will decrease 10%. I received two raises so the decrease brings me down to my previous salary. I was told that it’s due to the cost of labor in the area.

I’ve been with my company for 8+ yrs, I love my manager and the work I do (engagement, recognition, & wellness programs) but I feel like I’m limiting myself since I have the experience, an HRM degree, and SHRM-CP credentials.

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. Any advice on how to handle an ECD in charge of your salary who says the only way to get a promotion or even a COL raise of any kind is through winning an award? Not consistently reliable and solid performance. Not keeping the client happy and profitable. “You either win an award, or all ya get is to keep your job.”
And yes, I’m aware leaving is always an option, but eager for any other advice how to navigate.

Recently, a month back I made a switch to a product based company/startup. For a month, I was getting to know their one of the product having tech stack as Java & Aws. Now after a month, I am being put in a new product completely based on golang & temporal.

My total exp is 3.8 years, since I have already spent 3.8 of my life in Java stack, would that be good for me if I make a switch to some other language or tech stack? I see, there are very few position for go.

I’ve been interviewing for new positions to leave PA. But in my current position, we’ve been adding quite a few new projects (and our team is partner, two staff, and me) that will probably start over the next couple of months. I don’t think my boss has any idea I’m looking to leave - anything I should do to not feel guilty about potentially leaving them short staffed with a ton of work? Is this something you think about when looking to leave?

How realistic is it to think of a pivot from sales (GCS) to marketing as an L2? Should I start the process now or wait until L3? (Apparently a lot of people want this but nobody talks about it so insights are welcome)

Been working at my company as a new grad for almost a year, but don’t see myself in the team that I am in (working with Salesforce) for long term. Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
