I’m an Support Engineer L5 working in Amazon. Since the last 1 year I have taken up multiple projects to increase my exposure into the Software Development Space for a lateral movement to an SDE 2. Since Jan 25, my manager has been dragging the review and as of today it’s under review with an External L6. In the meantime, I found myself an Internal Position of Sys Dev 2. I need to take a decision as I have to let either know. I am quite sceptical about the current SDE Transition! What do I do?

Wonder if anyone can offer advice on which cert to pursue next? I obtained my CompTIA Security+ last year and wondering if I should go for the CySA+ or Pentest+ next. I also have my AWS CCP and will be sitting for the Solutions Architect soon as well. Currently not doing security stuff at work but would love to keep my skills going. I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.
