I'm applying to a bunch of SaaS sales roles and keep getting the classic "thanks but no thanks, we'll keep you on file" response. Does anyone know if companies actually DO keep resumes on file? Or has anyone here ever gotten contacted months later by a place that originally rejected them? Feels like empty words tbh.

Empty words IMO. I can't ever remember being contacted after the fact about a new position.

Only on cases where a candidate made it to a point t of speaking with a hiring manager, had a good conversation, bit because of the circumstances they hitched someone else but genuinely sees the person as a top-notch candidate. Though even those aren't kept up with in many cases.

If just a generic rejection, forget about it.

I'm sure at some point in human existence a company has actually gone through resumes on file and contacted someone. I've never known that to happen, however. What I do recall are instances where someone was interviewed and made a good impression but wasn't hired. And then months later they got a call to see if they were still interested.

They keep it “on file” the same way I keep salad ingredients in the fridge—technically true, but no one is ever touching it again.

Appeared for KPMG interview 45 days back. HR is intentionally delaying offer release. Done with 2nd round of interview in last week of July. My Lwd is in oct first week. She took documents on 23rd Aug and did salary discussion a week later. And giving shitty excuses like waiting for approval. Approver is on leave bla bla. Has anyone faced such issue with this company? I never expected such a shitty and worst recruitment process from a BIG4

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?
