If you meant consulting , hard to tell as plenty of them are private. Accenture’s peers such as big 4 don’t publish growth data, revenue etc- so only way to figure out if it is “safe” depends on if they are hiring. Some practices are always better off compared to others.
On Accenture stock, it is reflective of what we all know about the consulting industry trajectory. They still grew at 5% with EPS above expectations. They are investing a lot in acquisitions. Their guidance was a downer, but I’m not sure if any consulting company will be bullish about their Q4 if they were public. So not saying you don’t need to be alarmed, just saying don’t react to just the stock price and make bad decisions because of panic. I think we will see a lot of red rest of the year as AI capital investment gets questioned more and more
I think consulting on the whole is slowly going down so probably best to get out while you can. Wish I had done the same and not put it off.
I’m feeling the same sentiment as everyone else and am trying to figure out how to best find another job opportunity that has more stability and am trying to navigate this job market
If someone is good at what they do, and know it and the people that matter know it, there is no need to feel nervous.. Wasted effort.
