Don’t ask. Do it and be smart about it.
It was a joke. Do it, don’t ask and be a pro at work
Yeah, as long it doesnt overlap
No
The fact that people even ask...come on now..
Unless the work is for a competitor agency to your employer, or a competing brand to a brand your agency works for, there shouldn't be an issue. That said, if you inform them it will likely create more issues and headaches for you even if the above conditions don't apply. Just be careful and very discreet, and certainly don't offer up research/Intel/strategy from your employer
Heck no
1. congrats
2. do it
3. don't tell anyone at work
4. don't do any of the work on your work devices
We're gonna need a lot more detail about the work and what you do now to give you an accurate answer. But generally if there's no direct competitive overlap I wouldn't think twice about it.

Do you have an employee manual that states that employees are not allowed to do work on the side? Do you have an employment contract that forbid you from doing so? If it’s in an unrelated industry and your managers and higher-ups are not likely to know this company or find out about it, and there’s no prohibition spelled out somewhere, just keep it to yourself do the work and be happy. If you have a good relationship with your supervisor or the owner of your company, you might mention it, but only if you feel as though being honest, will earn you points and not ding you in some way.
Just FYI, I always told my boss when I had a freelance gig offered to me. But I was a member of the management team and it’s not like they were in a position to fire me if they didn’t like it.
Don't ask, don't tell.
Never ask. Never tell. Not even your best coworker friend. And do not do freelance work on your FT job issued computer.
Do they ask before laying you off? Didn’t think so.
lol yes you are risking losing your job. Loose lips sink ships.
Always watch out for number one, don’t step in number two- Rodney Dangerfield
I told my manager and what it was. Let her know there was no competition problem. Had the same private client for a couple years.
