I'm burning out, and there's literally no way I wouldn't. The expectations for caregiving, meal prepping, and enrolling the kids in activities are all coupled with the need, and I guess desire, to excel at work. It's all a lot. Weekends don't even feel like a break because it's just the two days to get all the household-related work done. At this point, I don't even want solutions. I just want to know that there are others in my struggle.

I'm with you, OP. Spending my Saturday cutting up veggies and doing laundry definitely doesn't feel like a break. My husband helps but I know what you mean when you say there just is not a time where I do nothing but relax.

You’re definitely not alone. Fid FCs are now catching up with the rest of the industry as far as expectations. 25 productive appointments a day, mentor your team, self development, outbound dial. There’s literally not enough time for it all in a 8 hour day.

Agreed. I was the FA and him the elementary teacher and still did 90% of the work around house. When we went to therapy his complaint…” I didn’t play enough with kids” 🙄 Once therapist told me to alternate cooking and he would have to do his own laundry so I could “play” with kids. It was a matter of time before we divorced. My advice to myself looking back, divide work, it’s ok to ask for help, the house doesn’t have to be perfect. Hugs cariño, I was once there.
