Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

My current CTC is 4.5 LPA. My expectations are 10 lpa because I have seen people in my company earning 12-14 with 3-4 YOE (sales, strategy team)

Today I got a call saying that from TCS and asked me, have you attended any interview I said yes and also said documents uploaded. I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam.
