I'm curious to what the community thinks on a candidate's salary in DFW, TX who has a Master's degree, 2.5 years of experience, EIT, and PE exam passed (not licensed yet).

Only licensure matters. Nothing else does. Your master's does not and your pass on your exams does not. If you are an officially sanctioned EIT per your state it looks good on your company SOQ lists but the PE is still better by a mile. 90K at most.

More education means less time spent learning to solve real-world problems. Experience is king; licensure is a must to advance. If I were interviewing you my evaluation would be based on your 2.5 years experience and what that experience entailed

Hello all, need some advice. Am currently working for a government consulting agency, but wishing to leave due to the way the project is being managed...I am in at least 4-5 hours of meetings a day, so barely have time to prepare for demos, preparation of slides for the client, nevermind being able to write decent stories(tickets)... Usually have to rush writing requirements, steps, etc, ...
So I have been looking around.

Hi fishes,
I am planning a switch so was going through some salary data for a software engineer. My ex-senior manager recommended me a website:
Growceed.com which helped me a lot in getting clarification about a lot of things but I am in doubt whether the average salaries of software engineer mentioned on Growceed.com really that much in top MNC companies.

Additional Posts in Civil Engineering

I'm an immigrant from Brazil and I'm evaluating my civil engineering degree and starting from scratch.
I did internship in civil engineering during the entire period of college and worked another year after graduating, which totaled 6 years of experience. I would like to know how the job market is like for immigrants in the field of civil engineering in the US and what advice would you give to someone who is starting over and improving in this area?
