I’m currently a 3rd year senior tax associate, MCOL working at a top 10 firm. I just cracked over 100k last year with my raise. Does this seem right or should be aiming for closer to 115k and higher? I have a chance to be up for manager in a year, but I feel like they will put me around 110-115k… and that will still feel like I’m in the lower salary range. Would appreciate some advice.

Hi all, I currently work 52-55 hours on average weekly and have been at my company for 4 months. I am now the only operations team member and am expected to complete all ops work alone. (Barely got trained to begin with). I work in Manhattan as well so I’m not sure if my 70k+15-20% bonus is standard or if I’m being very underpaid, especially considering that it is an employees market. Thoughts?

My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. (Since he might have to present as evidence) When I give him deadlines and ask for the docs he says he’ll get to it. It’s a small 1 man firm, and I’m the first assistant besides his wife. Any advice?
