Maybe try Christie. She seems to be a champion for us experienced folks. http://ad-recruiter.com/
Following as I’m having the same issue. I’m on the PR/acct management side but open to in house or agency. Get to final two or three and keep losing to another candidate. Very difficult to get feedback from recruiters or HR.
I’m only getting called in for 5-10% of what I apply for (admittedly mostly cold applications via LinkedIn etc), and I don’t seem to be hitting the mark during interviews. Often getting down the road to the 3rd interview and then losing out. I need someone to help me troubleshoot what’s going on and overcome whatever it is. As a side note I’m looking to pivot from agency to brand side, if that matters.
It was very specific to the interview style this company uses. It’s extremely rigid, you must answer questions in a particular method and illustrate your answer with an example. Apparently I didn’t meet the criteria for one person (of 15) so I was invited back for a do over with someone else bc they felt the original interviewer was not relevant to the job and we wouldn’t actually be working together. This is part of their problem: Interviewer was a warm body who knew nothing about my role, asked stock questions looking for answers in a specific methodology, but whether the content was practical or useful to a real life challenge was almost irrelevant. Welcome to hiring by committee. 15 rounds of interviews.🙄 nothing more that I can share here feedback wise that would be helpful for anyone else since it was so specific. But it was a learning process for sure.
