I’m in the process of interviewing for a position I really want. I’ve been ghosted a lot lately, so I’m hesitating to check in with the recruiter. What's the best way to follow up after an interview so I stay top of mind without being annoying? I want to find that balance between being professional and being a nuisance.

Treat every interview like a brand new experience. If I don’t have a timeline, I follow up in a week with a polite nudge. Still really interested in this opportunity, and would love to connect again. It’s worth the few minutes to send over a message.

Just be professional. If you feel like you haven't heard anything and you should have, check in with the recruiter. There's really no way to stay "top of mind," if your interviews impressed them that's what will matter. If you reach out professionally and don't hear back, the lack of a response may be the response.

A follow up is expected so don't think of it as annoying. Definitely send a short email within 24 hours of the interview to express appreciation. If you don’t hear back, then I'd follow up about 5–7 business days later with a polite, concise check-in reiterating your interest.

Recruiters (generally) make commission when they (properly) place people in roles so don't be hesitant about following up. A good recruiter will be straight-forward with you if you're not right for the role. Fitting candidates that will stay in the position is their bread and butter.
If you haven't been doing so, ALWAYS, 100% of the time, send an immediate (same day), brief, follow-up email to the person/people you interviewed with (at the company. You can choose to blind cc your recruiter or not), thanking them for their time and reaffirming your interest and/or excitement about the role. If you have something (brief!) specific to include regarding a take-away from the interview to make you extra memorable, include that. End with "I hope to hear from you soon." (If the energy is worthy of "...soon!", don't be afraid to use an exclamation. Just read the room). Never forget that follow-up. It's pretty much expected these days, and a lack thereof may be a possible reason you're getting ghosted.
AFTER you send that, send a note to your recruiter about how you felt the call went. Be honest and if you're really interested, make sure they know that. It may matter if they're pitching multiple people for the role. Excited about the job = more chance of a fit.
1 week post interview is a great follow-up point (but go through your recruiter for that if you use one. ONLY go direct if that's how you started)

How difficult is it to juggle a remote role with a hybrid role?

My current role is hybrid with at least two days a week in office. However, with the potential economic downturn, I'm considering holding on to the role to supplement my income.

I'm new to the overemployed movement, so I'm evaluating the feasibility of holding onto the hybrid role and the remote position.
