I’m looking to start a bedtime story via YouTube for our families. I already host live morning announcements so we are set up for live. How can I read a story and broadcast w/o violating copyright law

I have a whole bunch recorded but then i found out that you really can’t release them. YouTube is pretty lenient but it’s still not a good idea

I use Screencastify (it’s a Chrome extension) on my Google classroom. My understanding is that as long as you are reading on a closed platform like Google classroom, you are safe

Curious what system everyone uses for cataloging books. We use the free version of Koha and no longer use the Dewey decimal system but catalog by genre, ie. mystery, science fiction, contemporary, action, historical fiction, etc. I took over the library after this format was set in place.

I am librarian for 2 buildings in our district grades 4-12. I need easy and cross great level ideas to get students invested in their individual reading to learn plan. We currently use AR

I would greatly appreciate some fun/engaging/stimulating lesson plan ideas for high school students.

Hello Everyone
Need to vent for a minute. I am a middle school librarian. I service 5-8 grade students. My library ran smooth as ice cream this past year. I made my own classes and times students were allowed to check in out books. I serviced a grade a day and on Fridays everyone was allowed to come get books. We have new administration and this year I have class periods and one planning period like a regular teacher. I have 27 students in each class. " Ridiculous." Has your library changed?

Anyone do podcasts with elementary in the library? I currently run a live morning announcements via YouTube with Ss but want to add in a weekly podcast. Don’t know where to start.

What is your favorite library skills lesson or activity to welcome K-2 students back to school?
