I'm more frustrated by public education than ever. It is inefficient, ineffective, and does not offer parents options for their students. Schools receive funding for students who don't even attend them. What can I do as a public educator about these issues?

The gaps are quite amazing. I was shocked by the comments I read from an Illinois teacher. Their words sounded so pig headed. All triggered by the word “conservative”.

Do you think that SGOs really make a difference in you as an educator and/or your students learning? Do you feel that they are a waste of time? Are they worth the effort? Do they make a difference?

Why do teachers (and people) move so quickly into personal attacks when others disagree? We teach our students not to do this. Why can't the adults behave in the way we teach others to?
