I'm moving to the Bay Area sometime next year and am looking at neighborhoods that are ideally <60 mins commute to Financial District in SF. On the off chance I can buy, I'm looking for more suburby neighborhoods vs paying rent in a "cooler" part of the city. Frankly, I can only enjoy the city at most on weekends because of my job, so I'm willing to trade "coolness" and commute to some extent for affordability. Proximity to airport or nature is nice too

Anyone lateraled at the 2-4 year mark from boutique (40ish lawyers, corporate lit work on same level as biglaw, making top NY pay) to v100? Can you say anything about the experience?
