I think it depends on the firm I’ve seen people at my firm put in there two weeks and were told not to comeback while other places expect a two notice. However I agree with Auditor 1 do what’s best for you.
All of this. Either you’ll be asked to leave sooner than the full 2 weeks or your final 2 weeks will be a joke. No matter which one your company chooses, you’ll still get paid for those 2 weeks. So, the real question is how much money do you want for your final check?
I see those tik toks too 🤣 I think 2 weeks is the standard - and for example where I work at in their policy book - they mention giving appropriate notice of 2 weeks when resigning.
However do what’s best for you- If you don’t want to burn bridges I think 1.5-2 weeks is good. But if you don’t give a damn - drop off the laptop and peace out the same day!

Nooo for real … I been looking like wtf 😳 had me turned off!
But I been going into work all awkward like should I tell ‘em or nah loll
People that have resigned recently tho was all told to go same day or next so I’m assuming that will happen to me.. and I wouldn’t mind being off for a few days but like are they gone pay for the rest of the week?
So we all know that 2 week’s notice is what we’re typically told to give a company. But how many companies give their employees 2 weeks notice before letting them go? In my experience, people who give 2 weeks notice are still talked about just as much as the person who up and leaves sooner. If you need or want to leave before 2 weeks, do it. I would just make sure that your decision makes logical sense to any future employer (i.e, negative impact on mental health, potential loss of dream opportunity, etc.). If you do this and go out of your way for your current company (for the days that you are there), any negative fall out that comes past that you would’ve gotten no matter how much time you gave. No company can realistically backfill a role in 2 weeks. The goal is to give those there a smooth training/transitioning of your workload (which can be done well before 2 weeks).
All these norms that have been put in place, like two weeks notice, is for the benefit of your employer not you.Do what you need to do. Just try not to burn bridges.
