A1 is one of those people who'd be someone's bitch and ask for more. 😆
This guy repeatedly refused to submit to security. He should have been thrown off the plane. Any sane person would have accepted the abnormality and gotten off. Protest afterwards. There was no chance that he was going to be able to stay on the flight at that point. He got what he asked for. Maybe he'll get up next time. Maybe not.
Agree. Something mentally wrong with him. Thought himself so important and hen was dragged off the plane like a screaming child. United was wrong but this guy isn't totally innocent either. Running back onto the plane and screaming just kill me after experiencing what amounts to a flight delay? Something wrong.
All the carriers are the same. You do notice that at no point did any other passenger volunteer to be bumped off such that the 'doctor' could stay on.
@A1 the passenger may be at fault as well. But it doesn't excuse United's incompetence and how they handled the situation. The could have EASILY diffused the situation without creating this shit show fiasco.
There wasn't another flight later Sunday and they offered an alternative on Monday afternoon
@Accenture1 knows all about respecting authority. Probably likes being tied up and dominated. Probably got off watching the UA video.

Yeah but I'm getting sick and tired of your victim blaming. It's more about police excess use of force. It was just reported that the officer was put on leave because he didn't follow protocol. No matter what you say, it sucks to be thrown off a plane AFTER you have already boarded, knowing it's the last flight of the day. Based on eyewitness accounts, the victim and his wife both got up and complied before he was told it was the last flight of the day. It was then that he decided to stay on while his wife left the plane. Then it escalated when the airline called the cops. They could easily have just offered a larger voucher. Someone would have volunteered then. Isn't it telling that no one took up the airlines $800 offer? Maybe it wasn't as fair as you're making it out to be. I hope this happens to you soon so you'll be able to empathize.
Agree with k1. People just want to be angry.
Wouldn't want him as my doctor. He can't even handle missing a flight without throwing a fit. I'd be very nervous if he was actually expected so save any lives when he landed.
It was reported that his wife got off the plane. And he claimed he had patients to see. If that was really the case, then I'd say he's a really responsible doctor.
^ No, that doesn't make him a responsible doctor. He already made the argument that he needs to see his patients which did not work. It wasn't going to work the 3rd time and he was well aware of that. Any refusal after that point is a temper tantrum from a man much too old to justify such things.
Also would he actually have missed his patients? Wasn't the next flight only a bit later?
Temper tantrum = it's OK if I smash your head into whatever's around... "accidentally"
Writing this clause into all SOWs
A) the dude should have listened to the authorities b) united messed up but they aren't going to involuntarily bump the doctor, then move on to the next person when the doctor refuses. That's why it's called an involuntary bump. Sucks but deal with it 3) it wasn't united that injured the dude.
Im getting sick and tired of people jumping to conclusions and automatically defending people against "evil" corporations
The cop is suspended. He broke standard operating procedure.
Come to Delta !!!
Ah ok p1 thanks.
Ironically, his daughter is a management consultant.
