Additional Posts in Risk Assurance
Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

We exist simply because of regulation. If regulation goes away, IA will be significantly diminished. You can go above and beyond to partner with management to be a value driver. Those groups would survive deregulation. I also enjoy the aspects of IA you describe. It also teaches you how businesses run so I'd like to think there are some transferable skills to rotate out to accounting or fp&a or strategy
I agree 100% on the business. I feel like I know so much more about how a business runs from this experience than I did from my time in accounting
100% agree- regulation has bred this line of work and while it's around, we're fine. I do think this is such a niche level of knowledge that I don't know if it'd be useful for anything else...but I'd also argue that once you see the important of audits/certifictions on the business side, you do realize that we do pretty valuable work
