I've tried it but it seems a little... gimmicky? I needed a more substantial investment strategy, personally. I don't think it's bad, per se, but it's not going to help you retire early, that's for sure.

It's not the worst option to familiarize yourself with the concepts. But as HRG mentioned, it's pretty remedial. If you're serious about investing, you're going to outgrow it fast. I'd recommend RobinHood over it personally. Same kind of intuitive interface, but it's a lot closer to a real investment app.

I tried Acorns years ago. I prefer Robinhood over Acorns because they make it easier to deposit and withdraw your funds without having to contact customer service.

I am so beyond ready to leave my current job, but can’t yet, since bonuses are paid out in January. 😬

In the meantime, I’ve applied to a lot of similar roles (slightly higher) but have not heard - good or bad - from any. Is it common for companies to slow down hiring in December because of Q4 rush, people on holiday, etc.?
