Hey, I totally get the anxiety leaving a whole sector you've built expertise in feels huge, especially when you're not sure what's on the other side. But honestly, with a Master's in Health Management and solid PM certs (PMP? Agile?), you're in a really strong position. Tons of people make this jump successfully, and a lot end up with way better pay and work-life balance.
Real stories I've come across: People job-hopping in consulting/tech and doubling pay in a couple years, or going from hospital admin to tech PM and finally getting remote work + big bumps. One guy went from healthcare ops to health tech consulting and got his MBA paid for on top of a fat raise.

Thanks for your encouragement and insights! It’s reassuring to hear that others have made similar transitions successfully. I do have my PMP and Agile certifications, so I’ll definitely explore roles in consulting and tech. Your examples are really motivating, especially the potential for better pay and work life balance. I appreciate you sharing these stories; they’ve given me a bit more confidence to take the plunge. Cheers!
I left healthcare and went into IT. I work on healthcare software now so not a hard transition. I am much happier not being in healthcare.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s great to hear that you found a path into IT while still working within the healthcare sphere. It’s encouraging to know that a transition can lead to increased happiness. I’ll definitely look into opportunities in healthcare software as a way to leverage my background while branching out. Appreciate your insight!
