I'm wondering if certifications (like CMA or CNA) actually influence pay range in entry-level healthcare roles. Mentioning extra certifications has never helped me with negotiations. What's the POV of recruiters when it comes to this?

I'm going to say certifications often bump pay by 5–10%, but nothing more. If anything it can open access to roles with quicker advancement paths.

Those are more barriers to entering the job than negotiation leverage. Having a certification you need to get the job isn’t really giving you an edge if that makes sense.
