Hi fishes, in urgent need of your suggestions.
One of my friend is having offer from Oracle Pune for software developer role in Oracle store team. but he does not have clear idea of the role whether it will be operations, support or development work.
Does anyone know what kind of work is there in store team. Also, is it possible to change the project once we get inside?
Urgent suggestions required...
Thanks!
Anyone aware of TCS hiring process? How many days normally they take for the process. I had an interview yesterday both technical and Managerial. After that HR confirmed me over mail that I have cleared the interview rounds and asked to fill all the details on their portal. However, I haven't got any update today so I am just curious how many days they normally take to verify docs and proceed to HR discussion?Tata Consultancy Wipro Infosys IBM Accenture

Very much depends on the situation. There's no uniform timeline. If it's a major issue, it should be addressed immediately. If it's a weird grey area, you're better off waiting and hoping it abates before escalation is required.

Agreed, mine wasn’t “super serious” but definitely could’ve gotten out of control quickly if I didn’t manage my way to another team
If the issue is something where your manager may need some time to resolve it, it's obviously good to give them a chance to do what they can. If it's something that's a pressing matter, and nothing seems to be happening, that's a different story. In that case you might as well reach out to HR and seek their involvement.

But what if it’s WITH the manager?
I hope for OP sake that is not the case
I think anyone being reasonable is going to need more information to answer this question.
Is the issue that your coworkers are being unreasonable with deadlines? That you have a junior employee under you that is slowing you down? You feel underpaid? That you have been assigned too much work to fit into a day? That stuff takes time. A week would be fast for that stuff (if Ih's even feasible to address) because it involves moving money and people around.
Is the issue that you're being sexually harassed? That you've identified something the company (or a person at the company) is doing that's straight up illegal? A violation of the company's security policy? I'd expect a faster response to those things because it involves following established rules.
In either case, if it's important to you OP, start doing correspondence about it by email (not Teams, phone, conversation, or text) and make print out copies that yeu toke home (if feasible). A physical paper trail could make all the difference later.

Very true however I think they mean in general. It’s definitely situational based but in general I would always give 30 days unless it’s something super serious

So I never “officially” went to HR. I spoke to a manager and maintained conversations with that manager in order to “save” me from my current (former now) manager.

If manager not resolved your issue then..?
