Do you pay out of pocket on insurance premiums at your firm? My wife may leave her job to stay home and we’re on her insurance. My firm told me we’re $750/pay period or $18k/yr. that sounds absurd.

My firm’s health insurance is great for just me, but terrible when adding spouse or defendants. For that reason, I have a $50 a month HDHP through my work, and my wife and daughter have a PPO plan through wife’s employer (she’s a public school teacher, great benefits). We explored her staying home when would require everyone joining my plan and we saw similar numbers as you. Even the HDHP (just assuming you will max deductible) was about $16k a year. The PPO plan for all three I think was closer to $22-24k. I would need to check again.

I’m on marketplace plan. It would cost me over $2300 a month to cover wife and child at small firm

Junior at an AmLaw100. Insurance is free for me, very cheap (I think it was around $50/mo) to add my 9 month old son, but to add my wife is $500/mo.

A little over $450/month for me my husband and kid (same price whether 1 or 5 kids). But this is with an almost $7500 deductible which I will only hit this year bc we are having another kid

$1000 a month for me and my son on a PPO plan at W&C. Husband is at a small firm and they pay everything but it’s HMO.

I joined a new team and have noticed something off with my Director over the last months (slurring speech, no show to calls or even full days of work). I finally asked a colleague about it today because I’m concerned about my Director. She confirmed that she’s noticed the same over the last few years, but no one ever says anything. In confidence she told me she can often smell alcohol. How can I help? I feel helpless. I’ve already lost someone to addiction and I can’t ignore this. Any advice?
