Do you tell the recruiters what clients have you been on? Or just the industry? I was under the impression that u don’t mention the name of the clients or am I wrong?

You don't mention client names.

like

If it’s a public client it doesn’t matter. Who audits the company is publicly announced every year via 10-Ks and proxy’s.

I try not to mention the client name but it’s not super confidential, I just live in an area where the recruiters probably know someone who works at the client and I don’t want the partners finding out via that way.

like

I’ve worked on confidential clients before and you definitely know if they are or not. You can’t even talk to other people at PwC about it. But your office might have different policies.

Obviously you don’t tell people anything specific about the engagement.

I think you can technically mention any public jobs you have worked on. However, I've always thought it's just best practice to leave the name out and focus on industry/size.

Hi Fishes,
I had a technical discussion for HCL on 3rd Oct. It's been more than a week. I still haven't received a status on that interview. I have also received a "Resume shortlisted" mail from their careers app after a week.
Does it mean I'm selected? There's no intimation of the status at all. The HR don't reply on mails/calls.
Can anybody advise on this of they been through the same.

My first jr ad interview is coming up. What can I expect? What kind of questions will I be asked? Any device would be lovely.

3L with mostly A’s and B’s. I am having the worst luck trying to find work for after school and my experience working with lawyers has left me completely dejected. I cannot get an interview to save my life. I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. Mind you, I was working FOR FREE as it was a school connected externship. That made me never want to work in the law.

UPDATE (RE: SoCal Assistant Controller Interview)

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

Also I got a long way to go before senior manager fyi.
