Sigh. Teacher, our government is capable of multitasking. Apparently you think all they want to do is lock up children, shoot protestors, and deport innocent people, likely due to the singular focus of your sources augmented by your TDS. There are government people trying to make our lives better, to get us better deals on health cost and meds, to solve crimes not involving Epstein, to make our national parks and monuments safer and more accessible, to protect our nation and infrastructure, to fight the influx of drugs, to negotiate trade deals to keep more money in our pockets, etc, etc, etc. But it’s hard to see much when the blinders are on.

They are not doing anything to make our lives better. That is a fantasy. They are doing catastrophic damage to public health, higher education, scientific research, public aid, international relations, the environment, etc. The “derangement syndrome” is pretending that Trump cares about anyone with a net worth of less than 9 figures.

Speaking of solving crimes…Just wondering if you saw Pam Bondi today? Probably not since Fox didn’t show it. George Orwell called it!

Is anyone concerned the push for sexual equality in pay without accordant leveling of parental leave is gonna backfire?

Here’s a hypothetical:

A company has 2 candidates, aged 25-30, equal in every respect save one’s a man the other’s a woman. Maybe the woman is a slightly better candidate overall. They’d have equal comp.

Company considers the woman a riskier bet due to possibility she’ll take maternity leave — and considers the man less risky for his ineligibility to take as much leave. 🤷

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

Hi fishes,I have around 5.2 yrs of hands on exp in data engg. and able to clear service based companies interviews easily. Now I want to switch to product based companies as I am looking for some good work, good salary but I am not really strong in dsa as it's not part of my daily work.I don't really use trees and graphs as part of my daily work.

I’ve recently started work at a very young tech startup. Coming from a big law background, this was a huge change of pace/environment. I’m having a lot of trouble getting used to how unstructured the startup is. It feels like hire ups give a set of instructions then talk as if they don’t remember, or then decided rules A, B, C and D applies without being clear this was the case. Is this just the general startup environment? If you experienced this before, how did you deal with It?
