Hey fishes,
Let’s say Brillio gave some joining bonus and if we are leaving within an year we need to pay it back.
So does it mean I need to put papers after one year or is that okay to put papers after 9 months, so serving 3 months notice makes it one year.
Please let me know if anyone had an idea about this.

Looking for some advice on the following - I want to make a pivot back to client services, specifically advisory/consulting/transaction services. I have 4 years public accounting experience, and 3.5 years manager experience within the corporate controllership function, both technical and SEC reporting related (more technical than SEC). Sounds like a shop rather than a bank.
If base comp is a slight bump that means bonus potential is a huge bump. Assuming 110k base that means bonus upside is also 110k, that’s definitely a lot better than FDD. Exit opportunities are worlds ahead of FDD as well no reason to stay.
I think since you are from PwC FDD, you definitely can get better offers. MM banks in SF/NY are offering ~100k base and up to 100% bonus so TC is 200k.
Why not just go to A&M?
Not sure I wanna stay in FDD

Mate - get out of FDD sooner rather than later. Not sure your long term goals but the longer you stay the more you are branded/silod as an accountant
If you don’t have other offers, think about taking the role, working for a year or two to get exp, then go somewhere else for more.

I interviewed for an IB analyst role this week at a boutique shop (<10 people). Competitive base plus 100%+ bonus since there’s less people. But I will likely work 80-100 hours…the money and exit opps are really tempting but I really cannot imaging working that many hours nonstop. At least in FDD I can kind of have a life and vacations. Really struggling to make the decision as well.

I know I will be absolutely miserable if I have to work 7 days a week year round and potentially pull all nighters on PPT reports. It’s gonna be like working 2 full time jobs and getting paid 2 years salary within one year. I’m ambitious and willing to learn and do a good job but I’m not sure if I can handle it physically cause I need 8 hours of sleep to feel good during the day.
