SuperHost chiming in with multiple homes
Most of us hosts are preparing for a tough winter ahead YOY monthly rev down
-Better have a A tier location in mind
-Lots of bad operators, so easy to stand out
-Leverage Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, Booking
-Double check regulations. Even if a license is required, this is better than versus a city still legally deciding what to do
-Airdna to check supply/demand
Recommended to aggressively save cash now versus buy as expecting a lot of hosts to go under this winter
Best of luck! Rewarding journey and note it’s a very active business

Agree to save cash and wait. Rates will fall and operators will fail.

Yup, very saturated in many vacation cities. Location still matters, but you should have a backup business plan if possible. There are many signs pointing to a pending recession, so if travel tanks, you need to be prepared to pivot.

It's too much work now to shop for an Airbnb because there are hundreds to dig through, I was all about Airbnb but now I just book a hotel and be done with it. I'm sure there are others thinking the same.
