Anyone know the average annual rent increase for 1200 sqft 2 bedrooms? I’m renting and want to know what to expect in a few weeks

Completely dependent on landlord making that decision and what market rent is in your area compared to what you’re paying now.

Without knowing your market we would just be guessing.

Entirely local market dependent. Northwest Detroit? Decline of 5% / year.

In metro Atlanta if that makes a difference

Depends on if you were paying market rent before, and whether there are any rent increase restrictions at the state, county, or city level.

Rent growth in many cities spiked heavily during Covid. Many have seen falloff since then, but if you were on a longer lease, you might end up with a hefty increase.

I'm under contract for a new build in progress that won't be done until much later this year. I fully expect interest rates will be higher than what I originally estimated.
