I haven’t tried it personally but if you do go for it make sure to do a lot of research on key nutrients dogs need or look into dietary supplements. It can be very difficult on a homemade diet to meet a dogs nutritional needs but with careful research and vet nutritionist guidance, it’s possible. I would consult with a specialist before doing anything. A lot of homemade diets do more harm than good.
It’s very difficult to get all the required nutrients and you will more than likely need to add supplements as well. If you’re up for the challenge, just make sure you find a diet plan to build your recipes off of that meets AAFCO nutrition standards. You might be better off trying elimination diets to determine the source of the sensitivities, we thought my golden had a corn allergy for a long time, but turns out she just needed a different protein source instead of chicken. There are also brands out there that make human grade fresh meals for dogs, that might be worth looking into before you try to do it completely in house. I’ve seen ads for the Farmer’s Dog, but haven’t done any research or used it myself. Maybe something to look into though.
Definitely research ingredients to avoid like onions garlic etc
I do half dog food and half homemade food. I try to avoid anything with carbs because they don’t actually need carbs and some dog treats already contain carbs. I mix mashed potatoes with shredded chicken breast/minced turkey/minced beef and put in a kong. For all the meat i make sure they’re lean meats so it’s easier. I boiled the meat without any seasoning.

Talk to your vet beforehand. Odds are they'll tell you not too, but will be able to sell you some supplements to add to your homemade food.
I have lots of friends that do who compete in dog sports. You can always start by buying RAW dog food kits to get an idea of the ingredients.

I’ve stated feeding my pup weruva. It’s canned or pouch, but most of them have a pumpkin base (good for sensitive tummies) and you can tell what the food is - the chicken and vegetables actually look like chicken and vegetables. I was feeding her boiled chicken with rice and pumpkin for a while (plus fruit veggies as snacks/treats) but it was a lot to keep track of
I do! I use the recipe from Just Food for Dogs plus their nutrition powder and omega 3 fish oil. Some of the ingredients are a little tricky to find, but my dog's been loving it!
