What are your career goals? What industry are you in? How many people above you have an MBA versus not? Is it necessary for further advancement?
Does your company offer tuition assistance/reimbursement? If they do, is it covered in full, or what would you be responsible for? Do you have assurances getting the MBA would guarantee a pay-bump from your company? How does that compare to what you would be out-of-pocket for?
Would you need to lower your working hours to accommodate the school hours/homework? Do you have a strong enough work/life balance to balance all of that? What sacrifices would you need to make in your personal life, if any, to make it work?
@AM1 - No problem at all! My answers to all those questions are why I have so far held off on pursuing one. Whatever decision you come to, I wish you the best! 😄

Only if your career aspirations require it. Look at job descriptions of target companies/roles and you’ll get an idea if it’s valued or not. Those companies that require it usually pay more once you get up the ladder. Otherwise, it’s just debt.
agencies don't value education
The most important thing I’ve learned about MBAs is every single successful person I know with one literally never mentions anything about classes or course material; they only EVER talk about the value of the network. So I’d probably focus on prestige value of the school over literally everything else, because that’s usually what “network” means.
I went back to school for my masters a year after finishing college, under the assumption that it would give me edge in life. Did it? Not sure? Creative doesn’t really measure your resume, more so your portfolio. What I will say was it was a shit ton of work and if you don’t have an inherent interest in business administration it’s going to be a slog. But if you do, then get after it. You’ll put yourself in the top 15% of people educated in this country, and that never hurts.
People with for-profit MBAs are everywhere now. Unless you can get one from a top tier school, it’s just a money grab.
Not really...
