Finished what felt like my 100th round last week. Told me the rest of the candidates are still undergoing case studies and other rounds and to wait up to 4 weeks for a decision

Not my first rodeo, usually means I got skipped over. Just want closure.

Currently a staff in audit - 6 months in. Glad to be learning a lot, and have had a generally positive experience at the firm other than a few interactions, some tough busy season nights. Really been intrigued by TAS/M&A, however, and had a few convos with a senior in TAS i know at the firm. It’s closer to what I studied, but don’t know how to make the jump as it seems an internal transfer could take 6+months/senior rank and a lot of convincing. Is it better to jump firms/has anyone done this?

Does it make sense to take a pay cut if given a chance to join the corp dev team of a growing company? Currently a manager in Fdd

From Big4 Transparency: S1/MCOL/2YOE/FDD making $97k. Managers MCOL close to $150k.

very Selective jobs( MF PE and BB IBs) kinda blow these numbers out of the water... but for the more attainable exits like MM IB and and corporate development... considering wlb and pay, is the grass much greener?

How long were you a senior in FDD before things started to click? Really enjoying everything so far but feel like I am behind my peers. Been about 7 months now.

Are interview case studies difficult? Is it done live or is it take-home? What should I expect in terms of content/questions, duration, difficulty?

Best books for U.S. Corporate Tax similar to Logic of Subchapter K for partnerships? I’ve historically worked extensively with partnerships and starting to branch out into more “Core” corporate M&A Tax and looking for a helpful resource to get up to speed.
