Is anyone working for Meta project from Wipro for Oracle Cloud ERP ?

I see this question about how to display side projects often, so putting this out there for anyone who might find it useful:

There’s no such thing as side projects, in my eyes. Every project is an opportunity to display your creativity, and the few you’re most proud of make it to your book. Generally, the consensus these days is that we want our advertising to not look/feel like advertising. So, why should you be concerned to separate what was and wasn’t “advertising?”

hey, I joined Deloitte in June 2020 as an GPS SA analyst, I just staffed on internal project only providing me adjusted utilization. Now my standard util is 40 and my adjusted is 105... and this project last in another month... by then my standard util might be 20.. will my promotion be affected by this? My target promotion year on TOD is 2022. My manager said we might sell to client and extend this project in September but nothing guaranteed.

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost). I have a real estate client who at the top of his organization chart owns is 50/50 partners in a real estate investment company. First question is it advantageous to have the top of the organization 50/50 partners own the r/e company as an s-corp? That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder. All the real estate deals are then owned by this holding company.

I interviewed at Amazon for a PM role in Dec. 2020 and was ultimely rejected. I was told I have to wait a year to reapply. Fast forward to June 2022, another recruiter reaches out to me re: a PM role. I pass the screening interview, and move on to the virtual on site interview stage. I randomly get a call from the recruiter telling me there is now a TWO YEAR reapply policy in place so I'm not eligible to interview for any PM roles until Dec. 2022. Anyone ever heard of this policy? Seems strange

I currently have an offer from both IBM and TCS for database developer role. IBM's package is a slightly less than what TCS has offered. Curious to get perspective...I have 2 kids in elementary school and I have no idea how my working spouse and I are going to manage virtual learning. I understand there’s no obvious solution, but curious if you find it odd that there’s no acknowledgment by leadership that this is a massive issue facing a large portion of the workforce (with potential implications to the business)? CTS willing to retain me with promotion (it will give 12% hike) + another appraisal hike after 6 months ( percentage not clear ).

In Cisco i have offer from appd BU. It looks very interesting work to me, it is more towards observability domain and it looks like growing domain as well.
In cvent I don't know my current team. But it creates products related to event management.I have heard only good things about cvent.
Cisco is in Bangalore whereas cvent is in gurgaon. Package is quite similar close to 30 lpa in both.

I mean I feel I am doing fairly well in life, have a good academic background, a well paying job, keep trying to continuously upskill also.. yet everytime I open LinkedIn I feel I am going nowhere. Everyone is getting promoted or moving abroad or winning awards. Even these 21-22yo kids have like 10 internships listed in their experience. 🤯

Hi Fishes, asking this for a friend working as SAP BASIS Consultant.
He performed well in TCS technical round and HR also seemed to be happy with his performance.
He asked for 8.5 LPA, his current CTC being 4.3 LPA, with little over 3 years of experience.
HR said they would call him later and after 4 days, HR called and said she was informed by management that they could only provide 6 LPA :(
Any idea why they offered him that less? He is very disappointed with the way things turned out to him
