At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. Not sure what's going on in the name of BGV these days.
I mean companies ask for payslips, relieving letter and docs before rolling out the offer.
After that also, they are checking addresses ,calling references, sometimes asking again for documents, sometimes even bank statement.
Seriously I don't believe that a professional would be required to do this much anywhere outside India.
Gives me a really weird feeling.
Moreover its not just 1 company so many are having such scrutiny. Anyone else feels the same ?

I have similar offer from R systems and Wipro. R System has work location in same city where I live but Wipro asking for Pune to join.

In terms of growth and job security which is the best option ? I have heard a lot about hire and fire policy in R systems so scared to join during pandemic.
