Nervous to say since it’s so un-touristy but Lofoten Islands for beautiful hiking! I can give you specific ones if interested. We rented a car in Svolvaer and would drive to 2-3 hikes a day up there. We then spent some time in Bergen and highly recommend. From there we did the Trolltunga all day hike that is instagram famous, so very touristy, still very pretty but I’d prioritize Lofoten hikes if I had to choose. We then went to Balestrand for a relaxing couple nights which I cannot recommend enough if you like quaint / quiet / pretty (stay at the Balestrand Midtnes Hotel on the water side & there’s a great cider house, but otherwise not too much in town).
We went for Memorial Day last year and the weather was ideal, and up in the north the sun doesn’t set which could make it hard for sleeping (good for late hikes), maybe April would better? Not positive about weather at that time is all.
It’s a bit too early I’d say- although this winter’s been mild.
Most Norwegians go skiing in Easter. The weather is very volatile this time of year.
All the hiking spots you may be thinking of ( like Trolltunga are closed)
May/June on the other hand are the best !
