Is having technical knowledge becoming norm of consultants as well now?

Used to a lot of CDDs, recently more on growth or BU level strat. Recently got staffed to AI strategy project and was really excited to see what its like. But i was so wrong.

We have a technical architect on a team but im there as well and tech talk is so boring db cloud poc etc. is this what consulting is becoming now?

Knew grass isnt always greener but i didnt expect this to be AI (Accenture IT) project.

Everything has been done even salary discussion is also .
1-assessment and i got the completion message and confirmation
2-after that interview went very well
3 - hr discussion with salary , ready to initiate my offer in 2 hr
But she called me in a minute on Friday and told me that you need to give the test again.


After 3 days on monday -today
Someone called me from hr and told me you have to appear for all the things again.

Any book recommendations for soft skills at an agency/studio? For stuff like giving feedback, meetings, presentations, client interaction, etc.

Today I got the job offer and they are offering me 54k. My current company is making me 50k with tons of benefits which is why I am asking for 60k.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".
