Is it more impressive to make manager in 2.5 years at the same firm or move to a different big 4. Im S1, got an offer from another big 4 to be a manager but my firm (also a big 4) wants to make me a manager and match the salary immediately. Assuming the work would be similar, what would look better on my resume? Goal is to make director as quickly as possible and go in-house.

I’ve been approached outside the firm for a number of roles and take interviews for the practice. Today a start up SaaS company called and when i gave my base salary expectation (which i thought would be wildly out of range) it was not even a flinch and “well within range” no wonder there’s a staffing shortage at pwc, these guys are throwing money at us, and I’m in marketing!!!!!

Potentially dumb question here: I am starting law school soon and will not be employed (net income of $0 assuming I don’t get a good summer internship next summer). Does it make sense for me to sell my personal investments next year (assuming my income will still be zero) so I’m paying a 0% capital gains tax rate? H1-B transfer question

I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.

I attend to tell company (A) on Monday that I will not be joining them. Will there be any issue with company B filing for a H1-B transfer soon?
