Made it to Amazon last round, and rejected. All I got was an email from the recruiter saying they didn't move forward. The team seemed great, and the turnover didn't seem terrible as everyone I interviewed with was there for 3 years or longer. It seemed like a great group doing good work. I'm crushed.

I feel terrible for saying this, but interviews are so much easier when the interviewer is cute.

I have my 3rd out of 4 interviews today for an internal transfer. This position wouldn’t be a promotion but rather a lateral move. 4 interviews? That’s more than an outside hire, the whole reason I’m being considered is my unique value I’ll be bringing to that department.

P.s my final interview is with my current manager who is NOT in charge of the new department… he also told me he didn’t think I was ready for the change when I initially told him I was making a move. Let’s see how it goes!

Tips/questions to prepare for Technical screen interviews for Salesforce Admin role?

And I told him I got an offer letter already and I accepted it, He told like they just interview and don't know about the backend processes.

I got a job offer for what seems to be a great company but I’m not sure if I would have the same life balance. I started interviewing as a way to see my worth in the industry. My current role is at a small company, and I’m not sure how I could grow within the role because Im not advancing my skill, I just do the same thing every day at a lower level. I like my current role because it’s flexible and I’m paid well for not doing very much work. Should I switch to a more rigorous job?

So lately I have been applying for roles: junior business analyst/ project assistant/ project management entry/ project coordinator and have been hit with all rejections. It sucks but i must press on.

Does anyone ever feel like working in this industry is just overall toxic? Unreasonable deadline times, every single client just being cheap (always quantity over quality), having to play this game of not including everything when you know it is needed, temporary fixes, blame games, and then clients always acting like they are the victim. It doesn’t surprise me but the overall things that happen behind the scenes just for people to get decent work and stay in business just wow…

I feel like I’m becoming a very anhedonic person. Feel super ashamed because my life is great. Have a beautiful son, good job, loving family, but I’ve had the feeling for years now that I married the wrong person. I feel like a horrible person. Im always in my head and it keeps me from enjoying the moments I have with my loved ones.

2Y MBA here will be joining McKinsey next year after graduation. I just got an email from McKinsey HR saying my background and social media checks are cleared. However, it is also mentioned in the email that aside from the MBA degree verification after my graduation, “a reinvestigation may also be required If your initial background screening has cleared more than 60 days prior to your start date.” Do they really do background checks again? It takes a long time lol.
