Is it just me, or does applying to 25 jobs a day feel completely impossible? I'm drained after just 3–5 applications, and they all feel identical - fill out my info, upload my resume, and answer the same questions over and over. Has anyone actually managed to hit that 25-a-day goal, and if so, what’s your secret?

I couldn’t possibly hit 25 a day. Finding that many in a day in my area and fitting is a lot to ask, let alone me doing everything to apply to them.

From a manager’s side, I can tell you we can always spot when someone just copy-pasted their info everywhere. The applications that really get attention are the ones that feel intentional, even if you only send a handful each day.

It is very draining to say the least but yes you can apply for 25 jobs a day and feel like you are not making a dent in getting hired. I've been out of work since April 2025 and I feel like I am losing the skills I learned on my last job already. I've applied for over 400 jobs since then and I have been ghosted by many of the jobs I've applied for so I am not sure what I am doing wrong I'm using platforms that allow you to taylor your resume for the job that I am applying for, So all I can do is wish you the best of luck in your journey for find employment.

I just started looking. Has anyone started looking at remote accounting jobs? Or maybe had one? I can’t imagine having a desk not covered in paper? How does it work?

I'm a bit higher than SC. I've not been unemployed but after seeing many friends unemployed here's what I've noticed:
- add your mental health to your 'workday.' You need to do extra for your mental health. Healthy foods and GOOD workouts. It will allow you to be more energetic, with less work.
- call friends/family. Talk to people. Talking to people builds people skills.
- networking. Sending 25 linkedin messages/emails to chat might provide more feedback than 25 applications to an ATS reader! If you went to school with an alumni base, use it. If you worked at a firm with revolving doors, use the network. If you're in any professional organizations, a perfect time to get more involved.
- if you can spare any money, join some rec league and new friend or few. People know people - I've known people to career pivot from just "making friends."

If you have a family, spend time with them. My father got multiple jobs by coaching little league teams.

Applications are a huge part of the process but so is health, network, and your life.

Hi all, I'm trying to break into sales coming from a technical background. It's been very difficult as a lot of recruiters only see the technical aspects of my previous role, even though I've added in some sales aspects from those roles. Any advice on how to break past the initial view of my resume/past technical experiences to get interviews?

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. I want to wait until I hit the one year mark before making a decision on whether Consulting is for me or not. Curious to hear from other experienced hires..how is/was your first year?
