It’s you. We all call you greybeard.

funny

I wish I had a fully grown beard. I have patches lol and the greys are on the head 😂

I’m more concerned about what it’s done to me internally. Can’t be good.

like

Same here. I’m either stressed about litigating the case itself and the insane amount of work and deadlines, or stressed I’m not doing enough during the slow periods.

Oh no, what age did the gray hairs start for you? (I’ve avoided so far but I’m sure they’re coming for me with how much stress I put myself through.)
I do have all the other crappy signs of aging though and I am sure it’s this job.

Absolutely

When I call him about a new listing etc he seems annoyed & disinterested. I will also be paying for more since I make more but due to his salary most apts in said budget (cont)

Hello. I currently work in-house as a Legal Operations Manager. I am working on a project to expand our network of law firms.

Any recommendations of boutique law firms in CA that have experience in commercial litigation for retail/fashion/apparel/home companies? Specifically consumer class action, unfair business practices, false advertising/17200, data privacy.

Thanks for your recommendations.

I work in a firm that is known for litigation defense. I’ve been developing my own plaintiffs practice as well. I am able to pay the bills with my hourly defense work, which gives me time to focus on a handful of high value PI case a year on contingency. I was recently negotiating a case and was told part of the reason the claims rep/OC was jerking me around was because they didn’t see me as a plaintiffs attorney. Is there any way to change this perception or does it just come over time?

Currently at a super conservative defense firm. I do really well but keep getting the criticism that I tend to just do things on my own initiative. I’m just predisposed to being decisive and rather autonomous. Besides being a solo atty, where would this skillset be better suited? Plaintiffs work?

Starting to feel I don’t like litigation. Third year. I’m not excited about winning an argument or destroying the other party’s arguments. But the current market doesn’t seem to favor a transition.

Trying to get ahead of my caseload feels like trying to climb a hill made of loosely-packed pebbles. No matter how much I scrabble, I’m sliding closer and closer to the bottom.

How do you get caught up (or even ahead) when you’re always behind? Assume that all things that can be offloaded have been offloaded. I cannot take one more all nighter trying to get a motion drafted two days before the deadline because I couldn’t get to it earlier.
