Joined a new company/team recently and haven’t been doing well .. i was a high performer at my previous job but it’s a new industry I joined and my peers are so much better regardless of how hard I work.. (the entire team works 15 hrs/day so there’s only so much more I can do).. how can I get better :(

Hey! Just interviewed for an attorney position at an insurance litigation firm (Chicago). I have my offer convo w/ HR next week. This is career two for me so I have a ton of previous professional & public speaking/synthesizing data experience. Wondering about my salary ask.

Is it okay to go higher than average?

Realizing that even though I enjoy litigation, I have a really hard time with the amount of hours we work leading up to trial. Four days out from trial and I am exhausted/on the verge of illness from lack of sleep. How do people do this their entire career?
