My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

Any amazon recruiters here?
I have had received an offer from aws and i had a negotiation call a week ago with the recruiter.
It was a 15% increase in the total comp. I have not heard anything back. Should i be worried of Amazon rescinding the offer? Will they atleast come back with the original offer? Amazon

So you’d be making more, working for a better company (in terms of resume value), and you’d likely be promoted within a year to S1. No brainer to make the jump. I did the same thing. Happy I didn’t start as a senior, as it would have been a difficult learning curve.
Making more & working for a more prestigious firm is a promotion (not demotion) imo, regardless of title. EAs become eligible for promotion after their first busy season and usually get it, unless you get bad performance reviews. 1 year for me.
Absolutely, just like big 4 people would take a decrease in level to go to an MBB firm. It’s a no brainer
Even if they do, you’ll be a higher performing than everyone else and promoted faster. Smaller firms don’t have offshore employees to take care of everything. So when you go there, you’re ahead because your the one who had to do everything while everyone else is super spoiled lol
