Idk if its always true. Id say if a company needs someone they would want them hired ASAP. But for large companies that plan out their growth then they probably hire out before 5-6 month before their busy period.
Im looking to move positions and they get slammed in the summer. Manager told me to watch the job boards right after January 15th.
It’s true that now until January will be slow. People will be in and out on PTO. You can keep applying, but I wouldn’t expect much until things go back to normal in January.
Apply in December and you will stand out vs. Competition. Decembér more than halfway over and it takes over 2 weeks for interview arrangements., possible 2nd Interview, background checks, drug testing, interviewing other candidates, hiring team to meett, discuss & choose pick 1st/2nd ,one to hire
Then they would reach out to one selected for hire and perhaps send offer letter to candidate then await response of yes I accept offer. If 1st pick says already have new job then call 2nd choice and so on.
