Of course. I am an honest, direct kind of person. When conflict arises, I address the person openly and honestly. As a teacher of nearly three decades I had to unlearn not to “pick up the rope” with students. In other words I never argue with students. I am the teacher and they can follow directions or not. If not, they are out of my classroom. I think on some level we’ve all had to learn this lesson. Kids love when they can get a teacher to argue with them. It took me three years to learn arguing with a student never boded well for me in the end.

How do you deal with making mistakes at work? I’ve been doing good work lately but there’s one partner who thinks I’m mistake prone and I just made a mistake on something he asked me to do, but I corrected it quickly. However, there is public record of my mistake.
