I have an offer (DC) for 210 base/15% bonus/185 equity over four years, and I’m wondering what others have received, how much I can negotiate, etc. I understand base and bonus may not be negotiable, but I’ve heard that technical folks have negotiated equity packages 3-4x the amount I was offered - so is there a lot of room there? I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter.
