Base seems lower than what is listed on Glassdoor but that may be because there is unfortunately some geographic pay adjustment.
Equity seems a bit low than what others have quoted for AGC positions (have seen like 100k+ per year for equity here in fish bowl). Given the low stock price, it might behoove you to ask for more equity. That is usually where there is the most room for negotiation.
Any signing bonus?
No signing bonus offered; I was thinking of asking but wanted to focus on equity first as that seems to be the bigger battleground. Any ideas as to how much is reasonable to ask for re signing bonus?
Only bonus is truly non-negotiable. I had an offer in a different city, but I negotiated base up 14k, equity up 110k over 4 years, and 50k signing bonus. I had competing offers from other tech companies though.
Thanks
How many YOE
Same here!
That is exactly what I was offered. I was told base and bonus were non negotiable to keep fair pay across the board.
No the other offer was lower. I told them I needed time to think because I had another offer which was when they offered the signing bonus. But after thinking about it the money wasn’t worth being in a job I didn’t like
I’m currently interviewing for a regular counsel role in Ny. I was told the base was $221K, 15 percent bonus and $180K equity spread out over 4 years so in comparison I think you should negotiate higher for a lead counsel role
Maybe there was a mix up, but you definitely qualify for lead counsel - clerking counts and it’s based on YOE. They’re pretty strict about same comp for same level.
May you share your interview experience with the hiring manager? What questions did you get ? Also, how far after the interview were you contacted?
