I don't understand why anyone who is younger, single, and early in their career would find staying at home appealing. So many friendships, laughs, commiserating, and career connections came from being in the physical presence of your peers. Impromptu drinks after work? No more. Having lunch together? Gone. I really don't get the stay-home appeal.

You can't really trust that the "friends" you make through work are actually friends, or your brain just thinks you are because you spend so much time with them.
COVID taught a lot of people that having *some* separation from your partner can be a good thing for your relationship lol
All people.

I tend to agree.
IMO married people. My partner and I get to spend more time together, have lunch together, etc. instead of only seeing eachother when we’re both exhausted at the end of the day.
If I was single, I think WFH (while nice!) would get lonely and I’d be itching to leave the house and see friends.
I WFH all the time now and frankly I can’t believe how little I was actually home in the 25+ years I commuted before. I spent literally two hours a day awake at home, the rest sleeping because of the three total hours I wasted on trains.
MBA = more wfh
