Any advice on how to approach your Google manager about turning your role into 60% part-time (3 days/week)? I know there is business need for role, so would be hit to the team, but I’m feeling burn out hard and don’t see how I can last much longer. Figure it would be better to go part time than leave altogether, but can’t really say that to my manager. Any way to explore this without blowing everything up?
About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

Plus not all amazon culture is bad. Customer obsession > perf obsession.
Had an ex-Meta kick off a meeting by demanding everyone read the project doc....it was not received well...so that attempt at overriding Gculture with amzn failed thankfully.
lol. I wonder if this was their first interaction with other humans.
I have a huge amount of respect for former Amazon people I work with. They’re net positive for culture (as opposed to ex-Oracle, ex-Accenture, ex-Microsoft)

A lot of people seem to come to Google Cloud to get away from the Amazon culture. Asked one recent transfer why he moved - "I didn't want to keep working with assholes".
