Legally if you work 6 hours you have 20 minutes break , 8 hours shift have 30 minutes and it should be pay by your employer, double check if your age below 18 , break time is a bit longer
Nobody pays me for lunch break to be honest. I work in banking line and I work 8 hours but get paid for 7.5 hours only because my 30 mins lunch is not paid.

Unfortunately, I don’t get paid on my lunch breaks. I agree with you because why do we not get paid for our lunch breaks? It makes no sense honestly especially the amount of hours that we work each day. Hopefully, that changes with certain companies.
Private companies would die but won't pay you rationally. It feels unfair because amount of efforts you are putting for your company is worth earning for paid lunch.
