I’ve been in the job market for about 5 weeks and have been getting some interviews for Senior Product Designer positions. I average about 2 interviews a week. But I also get a ton of rejections. Here are some of my stats:
Rejections after 1st round: 2
Rejections after 2nd round: 2
Rejections after 3rd round: 4
Rejections before I get an interview: ~80
Should I rework my resume? Portfolio? My case study presentation? Or interviewing? I’ll take any advice that’ll improve my chances.

From what I’ve been hearing on LinkedIn and from others, you’re having way more success than most people

Replying a tad late to this thread but, this is exactly what my response was going to be. Here I am ~7 months later (end of March '26) and I'm not having nearly the "success" the OP was experiencing. I put that word in quotes as I'm qualifying success as just getting a foot in the door.

Job market has taken a dive over the last month or so, and while I'm seeing plenty of jobs being posted, many seem to be ghost jobs or are on-site/hybrid jobs hiding as remote.

You should ask for feedback from those four companies that reached the 3rd round. It's likely not the resume or portfolio, given the strong interview success, though you're not getting the desired outcome,

Enrolled in Stern for a few weeks.
The number of the alumni and current students that go to top consulting firms FT& summer intern are countless even for a small class size.
Stern is way more than a finance school. Given its location, do you want to spend your 2 years in a rural area or heart of Manhattan? Location is almost everything for business school. (I have a friend in Cornell that frequently travels about 5 hours to NYC for events.)

Litigators—how many different cases are you on?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.

What's the protocol for adding internal portal mockups for a client to your portfolio? Is it expected, something that requires asking permission but is still generally OK, or frowned upon? I'm a developer trying to pivot to UX.

Nothing in the contract bc our SOW was originally dev only. If I need permission, I have a good rapport with the Corp Comm director and VP so would I contact them on LinkedIn, or is this something that's normally done through the employer?
