What do I need to include on the project plan/roadmap so there’s a clear understanding of what our goals are? How do I get everything to align for success and how do I keep everyone motivated?

What’s the going rate for an Account Director in NYC? My current company doesn’t pay enough and want to know what’s acceptable to ask for in the interviewing process (within reason)?

I have a real estate client who at the top of his organization chart owns is 50/50 partners in a real estate investment company. First question is it advantageous to have the top of the organization 50/50 partners own the r/e company as an s-corp? That 50/50 company then owns 70% of holding company they own all the real estate as a partnership that the original partners are 35/35 and the investors own the remainder. All the real estate deals are then owned by this holding company.

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. Although the work isn’t under an NDA, I’m wondering if it’d appear more professional if there were a password. Alternatively, any advice on how much detail to show on a case study in situations like this?

How much time do you spend after regular working hours on learning and improving technicals? I feel the most challenging part for this job is not just to complete the client work but also endless learning which requires a lot commitments after work hours.

How can I get experience with user testing and interviews if clients don’t value it?
I’m a designer at an agency looking to land a product design position. I’ve got 8 years experience, started as a brand designer and now focus solely on web and product design. I work with agile dev teams and have worked on real products that have shipped (mostly b2b). Many of the positions I’m interested in ask for experience with user testing and interviews, which I have not had the opportunity to do.

Have 3 years of work/ research experience and I just had a recruiter land in my email asking me to apply for a UX research internship and part of the application process includes a “research challenge”.

I’ve had several great interviews with a few diff companies. Or rather, I thought they went well but then I get the dreaded “thanks but we made the difficult decision to move forward with other candidates”. I’ve asked for feedback but so far have gotten none.

I know it’s competitive out there, but I also don’t know how I can either position myself better, seek positions that are more aligned with my expertise/experience, or work on improving certain areas.

Any advice on how to proceed?
